Strong Brain

A great many of the pages of Strong Brain activities are designed to be highly interactive. The points below describe how to configure your browser in order to get the most out of your Strong Brain experience.

• Note about using different web browsers: Many of the interactive pages of the Strong Brain site require moderately modern browsers supporting the so-called AJAX features. On all platforms, the free Firefox browser (which can be installed and used alongside any other browser) is an excellent choice on any platform: Windows, Mac OSX, and Linux. The recent versions of MS Internet Explorer, Safari, and Opera are all generally adequate
• Enabling JavaScript: This site uses JavaScript on most pages. Please set your browser to enable JavaScript. For the different browsers, proceed as follows:
  • For Firefox, go to Tools > Options, and click on Content. Make sure the box is checked for "Enable JavaScript".
  • For Internet Explorer, go to Tools > Internet Options, and click on Security.
    1. If there is a slider bar, move the slider to Medium.
    2. Otherwise:
       1. Click on the Custom Level button at the bottom of the window.
       2. In the Security Settings window scroll down until you get to the section called Scripting (near the bottom). Under Scripting locate the category Active scripting; then click the radio button for Enable.
  • For Safari, go to Safari > Preferences, and click on Security. Make sure the box is checked for "Enable JavaScript".
  • For Opera, go to Tools > Preferences, and click on Advanced. Make sure the box is checked for "Enable JavaScript".
